Techfest
Over the past number of years the School of Computing has participated in the Techfest event held in September each year at the Beach Leisure Centre. Typically we run two workshops, from Monday to Friday during the Techfest week we run a series of one hour workshops to introduce students to some of the concepts of computer programming, by use of animation principles within a 3D environment. This workshop is titled “Build a 3D World”. At the weekend the workshops at the Leisure Centre are opened up to the public and we switch our stand over to “Green Screen” whereby people can be superimposed onto a number of background scenes.
