BMX Skateboarding and Motorbike Tricks and Stunts

The following videos give some sense of Matt Hoffman’s Aggro Circus located at the Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Orlando Florida. The show consists of number of stunts/tricks in the form of BMX, Skateboarding, Inline Skating and Motorbikes. Much of the BMX and Skatebording tricks are performed on a half-pipe. The Ball of Death/Globe of Death varies from one to three motorbikes circling around within it.

Dolphins Why do we love them so?

Dolphins – Why do we love them so? What is it about them that make them seem so friendly. Is it the smile of their mouthline, is it because they always seem so playful. I am sure many of us have spent many an hour sitting down watching episodes of Flipper. We all know that they are amongst the most intelligent animals on the planet. There have been many instances reported of dolphins saving people at sea, are they the lifeguards of the deep blue sea and as such have a kind and friendly demeanor.

Is it perhaps their proportions that make them so appealing, we see the golden ration / golden section appearing in so many places. You will see from page 9 of the following pdf document that “the eye, fins and tail all fall at golden sections of the length of the dolphin’s body”.

A Quick Photo Tour of Sea World Orlando

The following are just a few quick photos of Sea World Orland. One can see the lighthouse that is located close to the main entrance, the pirate ship that features Clive the seal, a few of the rides, and the Believe show featuring Shamu the Killer Whale with the capacity of catering for 12,000 spectators. A visit to Sea World of course isn’t complete without paying the dolphins a visit.

Hogwarts Orlando Lightning Storm – Voldemort begins his Assault

My first visit to Universal Studios was around 18:00 in the evening in early August 2010. It just so happend that I timed it perfectly as my first glimpse of the new Hogwarts World of Witchcraft & Wizardary was seemlingly under attack by Voldemort’s Deatheaters, or you could say that there was just a few lighining strikes happening in the vacinity, some of which just lined up perfectly with the Castle as you can see below. Some skateboarding and BMX stunts on a Half Pipe at Matt Hoffman’s Aggro Circus, Islands of Adventure Theme Park, Universal Studios, Orlando.

Hippogriff Roller Coaster Islands of Adventure, Orlando

Some footage of the Hippogriff Roller Coaster (known as Flight of the Hippogriff) at Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando, Florida is part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction which opened on the 18th June 2010. It is a junior roller coaster with a length of just 335 meters. The maximum speed reached is 28.5mph and the ride lasts for a duration of 66 seconds. It comprises of two trains allowing for a total of 32 passengers per trip.

Shamu Whale Tank SeaWorld Orlando Florida Up Close

One can get up close at the underwater viewing area in SeaWorld Orlando to see the killer whales just inches away from you. Watch the video below to see one of the killer whales just swimming around in their enclosure. One can also checkout the live webcam to see how the killer whales are getting on at SeaWorld San Diego. It’s available daily online between 09:00 and 17:30 Pacific Standard Time.

Manta Roller Coaster and Jurassic Park Ride

Getting close to the water on the Manta Roller Coaster at SeaWorld, Orlando Florida. This attraction opened in May 2009. The Roller Coaster goes up to a height of 140ft (43m) with a track length of 3.359ft (1024m). One can reach speeds of up to 56 miles per hour (90kph) and experience G-forces of 3.7.

The Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, Orlando. This footage show the end of the final drop down a tunnel with the “Boat” emerging with a large splash into the stream below. If you are standing close by you should be prepared to get splashed.

Hogwarts Castle Universal Studios Orlando Voldemort Lightning Attack

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in June 2010 at Univeral Studios Orlando. I visited about a month later at the end on July to be greeted with the scene of several lightning strikes happening in the background of Hogwarts Castle. Looking across the lake the main features one sees are Hogwarts and the Jurassic Park complex. The footage was recorded over a period of about 20 minutes or more, edited down to about 12 seconds and then slowed down extending the duration of the video to about 48 seconds (a four fold reduction). The moment I saw this I automatically thought that this could be considered as Voldemort’s first major attack on Hogwarts even before the final film Deathly Hallows Part 2 had been released. Hogwarts Castle is the home of the Forbidden Journey ride. I had heard that when it opened the queues were as much as eight or nine hours long. I myself started queuing a little before 08:30 in the morning and had a waiting time of slightly over an hour.
