See the following youtube playlist for additional videos from the show. Some of the highlights featured in the video below include: the Avro Vulcan XH 558, Chinook HC2, B-52H Stratofortress, Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4,the Blades aerobatic display team, the Red Arrows, a Huey Helicopter and a Beoing E-3D Sentry AEWI. It was very windy during the entire show, hence was difficult to get good clean footage. It was a really nice sunny except for the wind, the audience faced south looking on to the runway and into the sun, therefore some scenes lack detail due to the back-lit conditions. I hope you enjoy the videos. Youtube channel www.youtube.com/dcdoolan.

As the title says here are just a few photographs of some of the helicopters to be seen at Leuchars Airshow.
The Red Arrows at Leuchars Airshow 2011
This post comes as a change from many of the previous posts focused on buildings, flowers, swans and so forth. Today we are looking to the skies, in particular the Red Arrows display at the 2011 Leuchars Airshow, Scotland. There was some extremely heavy rain just a short while before the Red Arrows went through their routine. As you can see it was quite overcast. The large array of umbrellas of all shapes sizes and colours made for some interesting photographs – something for a future post. Overall it was a fantastic day out with a great selection of aircraft both on the ground and in the air to be seen.
Leuchars Airshow 10th Sept 2011 – The Vulcan
The following are just a few photographs of the Vulcan (HX558, the one and only Vulcan still to be seen today (http://www.vulcantothesky.org) known as “The Spirit of Great Britian”) flying about in the skies over Leuchars during the 2011 Airshow. Enjoy the photos of the marvelous piece of engineering.
