A journey through the Dublin Port Tunnel

The Dublin Port Tunnel is probably one of the fastest routes to take to get from Dublin City centre to the Airport. It provides a valuable link between the M1 motorway and Dublin Port. The tunnels are 4.5km in length and were opened to all traffic on the 27th January 2007, forming part of the M50 motorway. The Airlink 747 bus route takes the Dublin Port Tunnel on it journey from Heuston Train Station to Dublin Airport, running every 15 minutes throughout the week. As expected it isn’t Ireland without a bit of rain to be seen.
