Blarney Castle is home to the Blarney Stone – according to legend by kissing the stone one will acquire the gift of the gab. The castle is located about 5 miles from Cork City. Hopefully the following photographs will give you some sense of the area.
Many years ago I kissed the Blarney Stone, didn’t help with the gift of the gab though, unless it needs a refresher!
Visited only once myself, didn’t experiment to see if the legend was true or not. Perhaps with all the people visiting the effect has just worn off!
