Little did I know that when I started my venture into the world of social media at the beginning of this year that others out their in the blogosphere could nominate you for awards. I was delighted to see today (30th April) that I have received a Versatile Blogger Award.
A special thanks to Sharing My Italy … The Blog (30th April 2012) for this nomination (see post), I again received this award two weeks ago from Zen and Genki (16th April 2012 (see post)) but hadn’t blogged about it at the time as I was trying to decide on what other blogs I should nominate, now certainly seems to be a good time to do this.
As per the rules of being nominated, I am to:
- Thank the person who gave me the award (Done!)
- Include a link to their blog (I’ve done that too – above!)
- Select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
- Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award and include a link to their site. Here they are:
- Dreams and Zeros
- Alex Mufatti
- Brian Gaynor Photography
- Sam Whelan Art & Technology
- Klaus Rossler Photography
- Observatorydiscoveratory
- Travelwithscott
- Clive Jennings Photography
- A New Yorker in Paris
- Postcards for Colorado
- iPhone Photographer
- The Blissful Adventurer
- Craig Hill
- The Thesis Whisperer
- Ramblings of this guy you know!
And finally – Tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
- I enjoy TV shows such as Battlestar Galatica, NCIS, CSI & Star Trek to name a few.
- I lecture is subjects ranging from computer programming to graphics, video & multimedia.
- Signed up to SETI@Home over 12 years ago (during its first year of operation).
- Have a keen interested in distributed computing (hence SETI@Home).
- It’s only been in the past month I have build a computer myself from scratch, done lots of upgrading in the past, never a complete build.
- Have been interested in Astronomy for as long as I can remember.
- Archaeology has always been of interest (perhaps due to watching Indiana Jones so much).
And finally to end this post with a spot of colour

Congratulations–much deserved!
Thanks very much, it was such a surprise.
Great new Daniel! Congratulations.
Even I didn’t know that such nominations were there…

Congratulations Daniel,
And thank you for nominating me. I must now figure out how to follow through.
Scott
Hi Scott, you are most welcome, as you can see from my post, I received the first nomination about 2 weeks ago, so had been thinking about it for a while. Then received another nomination today. Enjoy.
A big congrats!
Thanks.
Congratulations to your award and thanks for nominating me.
What do I have to do?
As per http://dcdoolan.wordpress.com/2012/04/30/versatile-blogger-award/
You need to create a post about the award. Thanks those who nominated you, suggest 15 other blogs for the award, and state 7 things about yourself.
Your post should look quite similar to the above link.
Congratulations. Nice blog.
Thanks very much.
Congratulations!

Thank you so much for this my friend and I am always honored to be considered a versatile blogger. As I had previously received this I will accept in name alone and I hope you will not mind if I do not post another round of secrets
Thank you for this again and I look forward to our continued mutual support
All the best,

You certainly have a great blog, so well deserving of another nomination for versatile blogger.
