PhD Comics the Movie Review

I attended the PhD Comics Movie screening this evening running as part of the Science & Engineering Week here in Aberdeen. As per my previous post it was held at one of the lecture theatres in the Zoological Building at Aberdeen University. Upon arrival I was delighted to see more or less a full house. By the time the film began being screen at about 18:22 the entire room was packed. I heard back from the organisers that 180 people were present at the event, so a great turnout all round. The film was just over and hour in length and concluded around 19:25.

Warning may contain spoilers: It was great to see the creator of PhD Comics making a cameo appearance at the very start of the movie. The overall “chapter” structure of the movie too had quite a nice manner to that of a PhD Thesis. There were several instances throughout the movie at related directly to some of my favourite comic strips from phdcomics.com If you are familiar with the comic strips then you should love the movie. I could certainly reminisce with many of the scenes. I believe the audience as a whole quite enjoyed the movie as there were certainly a good few laughs throughout. All in all I really enjoyed the movie and it was well worth while attending. Once again great to see a packed house.  The photo below was taken by @AuScienceMag.
